Matt Vanderwerff

Matt Vanderwerff is a Project Director at IREX where he currently works with the Center for Collaborative Technology (CCT), providing direct program management and technical assistance in Washington, DC. Matt currently supports the Beyond Access program, an initiative focused on supporting modern community information hubs around the world. Matt previously provided project management for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funded Global Libraries programs in Romania and Ukraine as well as several other technology and community development programs in the Middle East and Central Asia.

Prior to joining IREX, Matt worked as Research Assistant for USAID’s Bureau for Europe and Eurasia. Matt holds an MA in Russia and East European Studies from the University of Michigan, where he was a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellow from 2006-2008.
