Nicolas Sera-Leyva

Nicolas Sera-Leyva leads initiatives in support of digital security training and trainer network building, from within the ICT Programs and Policy team at Internews. He currently leads the LevelUp project (https://www.level-up.cc), an effort that seeks to support individuals worldwide providing digital safety training and education, by co-creating spaces for building shared values of what effective training looks like, how to deliver effective training, and understanding why it is effective. Together with IREX, Confabium, Tactical Technology Collective, and the Tor Project, Nicolas was a co-organizer of the first ever Trainers Summit at the 2015 Circumvention Technology Festival in Valencia, Spain and values any opportunity to bring digital security trainers and practitioners together around peer-knowledge sharing and community building.
