We’re excited to open applications for Community Village booths at RightsCon 2026 (May 5–8, Lusaka, Zambia, and online). Hosting a booth is a great way to be front and center at the summit, connect directly with participants, and share your work beyond the formal program.

If you’re interested in hosting a booth, make sure to submit your application by March 31, 2026.

What is the Community Village?

The Community Village is a vibrant hub where the RightsCon community can connect, build trusted partnerships, consult  with experts and exchange ideas. It’s one of the most effective ways for organizations, companies, and groups to showcase their work, projects, research or campaigns, to start conversations and build new connections directly with in-person participants.

You’ll find the Village at the heart of the RightsCon venue, in a busy, high-traffic area designed to encourage curiosity and interaction. Whether it’s a regional collective showcasing a creative project, a civil society organization looking for new collaborators, or a company open to listening and engaging, the Community Village is where new and unexpected encounters happen.

Why host a booth?

Across the four days of RightsCon, we expect more than 2,000 participants in-person in Lusaka, with over 5,000 participants overall. A booth gives you a physical presence in the space where in-person participants spend time between sessions, meet informally, and explore what’s new and exciting across the digital rights ecosystem.

As a booth host, you’ll have a dedicated area at the venue where you can display banners, share printed materials, and hand out merchandise. In past editions, Community Village booths have included private sector companies like Nord Security, Surfshark, and Google. Foundations such as the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, the Wikimedia Foundation and a wide range of civil society organizations and initiatives including Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders, Internet Society, The Tor Project, and many others from around the world.
